Music Practitioners Qualifications and Level 3 Grade Exams Remain on Performance Tables

Tuesday, 14 February 2012

Following publication of the Wolf Report in 2011, the Department for Education announced reforms to the School Performance Tables for pre-16 learners. The reforms have led to a drastic cut in the number of Vocational Qualifications which will count towards a schools achievement; however we are pleased to confirm Rockschool’s Music Practitioners Qualifications will continue to contribute to the headline measures for schools. For those beginning courses in 2012 both the Level 1 and 2 Certificate and Extended Certificate will remain on the performance tables.

In the meantime we are designing new versions of these qualifications to fully adhere to the requirements outlined by the government, we hope to have these updated qualifications available by the end of 2012.

For all of you sitting Grade Exams, our Level 3 (Grades 6, 7 & 8) are also included in the school's performance tables.
